A Sunny Day Walk ♡

Today was a very rare day in England, the sun was shining and it was actually warm, so me and Henry decided to take a little walk and enjoy the weather a little. The walk was absolutely lovely, we walked along a little path that lead to Horsted Valley and had a wander around and took a few photos.

After a little while we got a little bit peckish and decided to pop to Asda and grab some bits to have a little garden picnic when we got back home, which turned out to be pretty yummy! We got back and laid out a fluffy blanket in the garden and ate our little picnic.

It was really nice to spend a little sunny afternoon with Henry before he goes off to Poland for the summer to do a physics research project. Hopefully we’ll be able to go on a few more little adventures before he goes.

The Sunshine Blogger Award! ♡

Rules for the Sunshine Blogger Award:

Thank the person who nominated you.

Answer the 11 questions set by the person who nominated you

Nominate 11 bloggers to receive the award and write them 11 new questions to answer.

Here are the questions from Emily and my answers!

Where abouts in the world are you from?

I am from the South East of England, about an hours journey from London.

Why did you start blogging?

I had always wanted to start a blog, because I have always loved reading blogs and seeing other people’s opinions, and I thought it would be nice to be able to share what I think of certain products with other people. So one day last year I decided to give it a go, and after a few posts, I found it very difficult to carry on because of illness and stress and college.

But since the beginning of this year I’ve been absolutely blogging, and it’s my goal to be able to post a blog post every day in April.

What is your blog about?

My blog is a beauty blog, where I like to review products that I like and dont like much. I also post hauls of products I have picked up recently, and just generally post about all things makeup. I post about the big new releases in the makeup world and any other beauty things that are around.

I have also decided to post a few lifestyle posts when I do interesting things, like a baking day, or go out on adventures with my family or my boyfriend.

Who is your main inspiration?

I don’t think I have an inspiration for my everyday life, but I do have a blogging inspiration though and she is;

Hello October (link)

I adore Suzie’s blog, I think it looks so beautiful and classy and her writing style is so beautiful. If you haven’t been reading her blog, then you need to start because she is incredible.

What was the last thing you bought?

If we are talking life in general, then it was probably food, although I can’t imagine exactly what. BUT if we are talking makeup, then it was the Salvation Palette in Girls on Film from Makeup Revolution, and a gorgeous purple lipstick from MUA, so expect reviews coming soon!

You’re in a zombie apocalypse, the item on your left is your weapon, what is it?

Well the item to my left is my Nintendo DS with Pokemon Emerald..so I’m pretty stuffed when it comes to survival but I’m set for entertainment as long as I can find a place to charge it.

What is your favourite film?

I think my favourite film at the moment is Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List, it helps to cheer me up when I’m feeling a bit crap, and it also has a killer soundtrack.

If you could be a celebrity, who would you be?

I would probably be Angelina Jolie, I think she is amazing and I love her acting and her life just seems so glamorous and lovely. I think I would only want to live like that for a few days though, then it would be good to go back to me, in my hoodies and messy buns eating ice cream.

What is your favourite comfort food?

Hmmm, that’s a tricky one, but I think it might be crisps. Any sort of crisps, but especially ready salted. If I’m feeling a bit crappy I’ll make a nice cup of tea, and probably stick on a chick flick, and then it’s easy to munch my way through a few bags of crisps. It’ll have me feeling better in no time.

What year are you in at school?

I’m in my second year at college at the moment doing a diploma in art and design, I’ll be finished early May though and then I’m off to university.

What is your favourite thing about blogging?

I think my favourite thing about blogging would be the satisfaction. It might sound strange but for a while I wasn’t sure if anybody would read my blog, which is why it took me a while to get into blogging. But, it is so nice knowing that people all around the world are reading your blog and enjoying the content that you are creating. Feedback is also amazing, I love seeing when people have enjoyed my blog posts or like what I am blogging about.

My questions for my nominees:

How long have you been blogging?

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

What do you do to pamper yourself?

What do you do when you want to relax?

Are you a cat person or a dog person?

What is your biggest aspiration in life?

What would be your dream career?

Do you always smile in pictures?

What is your favourite song ever?

What is your favourite thing about blogging?

My Nominees:

Cookies & Contour

2 Classy Sisters

(I’ve had real trouble thinking of anymore so I guess 4 will have to do!)

I hope you enjoyed getting to know a few things about me and you should definitely check out Emily’s blog and all of the blogs that I nominated, they are all amazing ladies with beautiful blogs!

Also if I haven’t nominated you, you could always let me know your answers in a comment 🙂

A Day Out in Cambridge ♡

I thought I would start posting a few personal things on my blog as well, just to have them documented and let you into a little snippet of my life every now and then. So here goes life post number 1!

On Easter Sunday, my boyfriend’s family and I travelled to Cambridge to celebrate his grandma’s birthday. After being up since 4:30am I wasn’t feeling too great, but it was worth it.

We all went out for a lovely meal, and I had the most amazing dessert I’ve ever had in my life, but I forgot to take a picture…oops. It was 2 ice cream roulades with cream and blackcurrant sauce, and it was so yummy!!

After dinner we went out for a walk with everybody, and I fell in love with Cambridge scenery a little bit. I took a load of photos on the walk, but I put the best ones below:

My boyfriend’s grandad went to college in Cambridge so he was able to tell us a lot of history about the buildings and things that happened when he was here. I really enjoyed the walk, the weather was amazing and I managed to get within about 5 Feet of a swan!!

The only thing that I could think of when I saw that the University had its own Outfitters, was that it was a little bit like Madame Malkin’s in Harry Potter, where you went in and bought your clothes for the year.

It was completely walking around this area so well known for its university, and seeing hardly any students, and whereas in the areas that I live and have visited before, the students eat at McDonald’s and drink Starbucks, the Cambridge students were drinking in the quaint little coffee shops.

That is the best word I think I have found to describe all of the little places in Cambridge, quaint. Although, that is incredibly different when you see the amazing architecture of all of the colleges and university buildings.

I really enjoyed my day out in Cambridge, and would definitely go there again.
